Not to put blame on the company, but my package showed up already open. Was expecting more for "Protected Shipping". The box my hat showed up in was just about folded in half although the hat was fine.

We're sorry to hear about the condition your package arrived in. However, it sounds like your concerns are primarily related to how the package was handled during shipping rather than the quality of the product itself.
Unfortunately, we have no control over how USPS or APO facilities handle packages once they leave our hands. This is precisely why we take extra precautions by shipping our hats in a protective box with additional individual packaging. Thankfully, it sounds like those measures worked as intended and your hat arrived undamaged.
Lastly, we'd like to clarify that our protected shipping option provides coverage for lost packages or damaged products. It is not intended to prevent or cover cosmetic damage to the exterior shipping box caused during transit.
